Artist of the Week on Musikki – Yo La Tengo

Yo La Tengo is an American indie rock band from New Jersey. The band was formed in 1984 by Ira Kaplan and Georgia Hubley as a husband/wife duo. In 1992 they were joined by James McNew (bass) forming the trio that still remains as the band’s line up. Their initial works were released through Coyote Records, Bar/None and Alias Records but in 1993 they started a longtime partnership with Matador Records that had its latest development earlier this year with the release of “Fade”, Yo La Tengo’s brilliant new record.
