Artist of the Week on Musikki – Titus Andronicus

Titus Andronicus is an indie punk/rock band from New Jersey, US. Their name comes from what is thought to be William Shakespeare’s first tragedy, “Titus Andronicus”.  Founded in 2005 they have since then released three records. In 2008 they released their debut, “The Airing of Grievances”, through Troubleman Unlimited (reissued in 2009 on XL Recordings).  Their second effort “The Monitor” (2010) was critically acclaimed and contributed to the rapid growth of their fan base. The highly anticipated third album, “Local Business”, was released on October 23rd, 2012, featuring the single “In a Big City”.
